Project Description

Cuando era un niño había una historia que me gustaba mucho: El patito feo. Seguramente todo el mundo la conoce. El patito feo nació diferente a los demás y nadie lo quería, pero a pesar de las adversidades y dificultades en la vida, supo crecer y convertirse en un precioso cisne al que todos admiraron después.

Esta historia me hace pensar en todos esos restos de madera de otros proyectos, restos inservibles que seguramente acaban en la basura o en el fuego. Pero igual que el patito feo, también esos restos pueden convertirse en algo  maravilloso que todo el mundo podrá admirar después. Rescatados del fuego, cada pieza ha sido seleccionada por su tamaño y color para combinarlas en perfecta armonía creando así una pieza única de gran valor artístico.

When I was a child there was a story that I liked very much: The Ugly Duckling. Probably everybody knows it. The Ugly Duckling was born different and nobody wanted him, but despite the adversities and difficulties in life, he knew how to grow up and became a beautiful swan. Everybody admired him in the end.

It made me watch all the waste I have on small and ugly pieces of wood. Wood scraps from other projects that nobody wants and probably end up in the trash or even in the fireplace. But like the ugly duckling also ugly pieces of wood can become something wonderful, so I rescue all these pieces and give them a second life. Each piece has been selected one by one for its size and color. By combining them all, it became a unique piece of art beauty: The Ugly Duckling cabinet.
